The McDonnell Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle was designed to meet a USAF requirement for a long-range tactical air superiority fighter, the F15 was first flown on July 27th, 1972. Every gram counts. That was the theory behind the lack of paint on this aircraft. The actual aircraft flew unpainted to save weight in the process of breaking eight time-to-climb records early in 1975. Precision engineered in 1:48 scale, this model matches every detail of the original, down to single-seat cockpit and operable landing gear. Toy safety, manufacturer's minimum age - 14 years.
